2 Chainz got arrested at LAX with pot and Promethazine - but was it all part of his genius plan to gain back some street cred after getting robbed?  It's a 2 Chainz-piracy! The 35-year old rapper, 2 Chainz, was arrested in Los Angeles yesterday for possession of marijuana and promethazine, Billboard reports, just days after being robbed at gunpoint of his wallet and phone in Oakland. Purple Drank or sizzurp are slang terms for recreational drug concoctions popular in the hip hop community in the southern United States, originating in Houston, Texas. The main ingredient is prescription-strength cough syrup containing codeine and promethazine. Cough syrup is typically mixed with ingredients such as Sprite, 7UP, or Mountain Dew and pieces of Jolly Rancher candy. The purplish hue of Purple Drank comes from dyes in the cough syrup.

Miguel was ordered by the Billboard Awards producers to not perform the dangerous jump over the crowd, but did it anyway. The woman who was kicked in the head during the R&B crooner's Billboard Music Awards performance in May claims to have suffered head trauma that might have caused brain damage - her lawyer told TMZ. Miguel jumped across the audience standing in between stage risers during his performance, He fell short and landed with his legs hitting two women. At least one of the women was hit pretty hard in the head. One of the women is identified as Khyati Shah, who is undergoing some medical test and neurological tests before she decides if she wants to sue.
